Woods, Water and Wildlife

Over the past year, I have made several trips to northern Wisconsin to visit my brother. On the southern shore of Lake Superior, the area features remote beaches, lush wetlands, dense woods, lovely inland lakes, and of course the vast expanse of Lake Superior itself. Rounding a corner on a lonely dirt road, we come upon a wild swans tranquilly paddling to and fro; along the shore, dramatic skies foretell storms to come; peaceful lily pads float on the still waters of an estuary.

Closer to home, Golden Gate Park offers egrets, herons and more.
