I have visited Scotland many times and the magic of the place never ceases to enchant me. For such a small country, it may be one of the most beautiful places on earth. Vast open glens, craggy mountains, rugged coastlines, and remote islands, paired with dramatic and sometimes ruthless weather; add in a history that predates recorded history by thousands of years. Combine that with ancient but cosmopolitan cities, and Scotland makes for an experience unlike anywhere else. That our daughter now lives there is an added bonus, ensuring we visit this enchanting land regularly.
