Ever since I saw my first mountain -- I grew up in the flat midwest -- I was transfixed by the majesty, power and mystery of the high altitude world. As a skier, I am privileged to travel through the mountains in the most beautiful of times, the winter, where snow, ice and weather combine to create a mysterious beauty that never ceases to delight me. No photograph can capture that magic, but I never stop trying.
